I Evaluate Your Teeth – You Evaluate Hammond Aesthetic & General Dentistry
Hello friends of Hammond Aesthetic & General Dentistry. Welcome to my Orem general dentistry blog. This site is for my patients and anyone in the Orem area who doesn’t have a regular dentist.
I invite you to call 801-374-0070 to schedule an evaluation.
I’m not talking about an ordinary dental evaluation, although I will certainly examine your teeth and gums thoroughly and advise you on any necessary preventative or cosmetic dental needs. I invite you to perform your own evaluation of me and my dental practice.
I encourage you to evaluate:
- My education, experience and cosmetic dental skill
- The variety of services we provide at Hammond Aesthetic & General Dentistry
- My recommendations about your dental needs
- Before and after photos of my smile makeover patients
- My philosophy of preventative dentistry
- The length of the wait time for your appointment
- My office atmosphere and attentiveness of my professional dental team
- All the extras that make your dental visits pleasant and comfortable
- My ability to explain the technical details of procedures and characteristics of restorative materials
- The many services available at Hammond Aesthetic & General Dentistry including general dentistry, smile makeovers, and sedation dentistry
- My Hammond Aesthetic & General Dentistry website at: https://www.cosmeticdentistryutahcounty.com
Fair enough? I will evaluate your dental needs and you can evaluate everything about me and my family dentistry practice. I am confident that you will like what you find.

Saliva And Provo’s Dental Health
Hi. We’re Drs. Hammond. Welcome to our Provo general dentistry blog. Today we’ll be looking at the complexity and importance of your saliva. Though most people in Provo or the surrounding areas may think it’s gross, saliva is essential to dental health as well as digestion.
Saliva is mostly water, but a small portion of it is made up of enzymes, antibacterial substances, mucus, and minerals. The pH balance of the mouth is maintained by saliva, and pH balance is a key factor in the development of cavities and other forms of tooth decay.
The minerals in saliva help to maintain the enamel surface of the teeth. Immunoproteins in saliva inhibit the overgrowth of microbes in the mouth, thereby protecting the gums from gingivitis.
Now that Provo residents know how important saliva is to dental health, we’re sure you can see why ample salivary flow should concern you. For most of our Provo patients, everyday chewing is enough to stimulate salivary glands to release saliva. However, dry mouth, also known as xerostomia, is an ailment that should be dealt with quickly before oral health complications occur.
If you are in the Provo area and are looking for quality dental services and care, please contact our office today at 801-374-0070. We have been providing general and cosmetic dentistry in Provo since 1996.
Our friendly and professional staff would be happy to talk to you about cosmetic dentistry, sedation dentistry, porcelain veneers, Invisalign clear braces, and the other services we provide to our valued patients.
