Hammond Aesthetic & General Dentistry

After two disappointed rounds of Invasalign, I began doing research on veneers as a permanent solution to my teeth continually moving back to their original crooked state. My research found that Dr. Hammond and his staff were reputable in cosmetic dentistry so I decided to schedule a consult. My initial impression was that the office was modern and edgy (there's no front office setting) but still comfortable. I was brought back to a room where my consult professional Tracy gave me the rundown of what to expect with veneers. She was nice and personable but that hardly softened the blow of the sticker price of 11 veneers-Whoa!! Then Dr. Hammond came in to introduce himself and examine my teeth. He had such a good energy about him...kinda like when you were a kid and your big brother's best friend was always cool and nice to you--that's Dr. Hammond. He was genuine and friendly and communicated so clearly that I immediately knew he was competent and felt at ease. The process would go like this: I had to pay everything up front-ugh and it would take about 6-8 weeks from beginning to end with a series of several hour appointments-UGH! Not fun right? Surprisingly it wasn't bad at all.


So let me quickly explain how this goes

First meeting- 1hour: They took impressions and photographs of my teeth. Dr. Hammond will ask you a series of questions to get you to start thinking about your smile. Do you want your teeth to be staggered or more straight, what shade of white are you comfortable with-- all of which I had never thought about. It's at this point that I really began scouring the web for pictures of smiles and veneers and developed an idea of what I wanted my smile to look like. The hard part is developing the language to describe what you like/don't like. This is where Dr. Hammond's assistant Demri was really helpful. She has a good eye and intuitively knew what I was trying to communicate.

The coolest part--Dr. Hammond was actually AS excited as I was about my new smile!

2nd meeting-all day: Nitty gritty time. I spent 4 hours in a chair with as they drilled my teeth down to apply temporaries. Throughout the entire time, Denri and Dr. Hammond were good about explaining what they were doing and I felt at ease with them in my personal space. Also, they work really well together and was impressed with their efficiency. After the temporaries were put on, Dr. Hammond spent some time shaping my teeth to my liking and then sent me off with a goody bag and list to take care of my new teeth.

Few weeks went by. This was the worst part--not gonna lie. The temporaries felt like a retainer and well...about this time fatigue started to set in and I wanted the process over.

3rd meeting-30 min: Consult and shaping of temporaries.

4th meeting-all day. The real sh-bang! New porcelain veneers were put on and finally it was over!

5th meeting-Final consult and shaping of veneers. Amazing, they look and feel so real!!

So how do I feel about my veneers? I love them, I mean it!! Dr. Hammond is a perfectionist and paid attention to every painstaking detail from color to shape. He worked hard to achieve the smile I wanted and honestly...it turned out better than I expected. I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Hammond and his staff to anyone thinking about veneers. The cost and time is well worth it, in my opinion.

Lastly, a great thanks to Dr. Hammond, Demri, Brooklyn and Tracy! Chris, your brilliance is clearly seen in not only the work you do but the staff you've put together-a very genuine and authentic group of good humans.

I can not say enough good things about this practice--every aspect is truly OUTSTANDING! From the serene and gorgeous spa-like surroundings to the staff who radiate warmth, compassion, kindness, intelligence, and knowledge, I was so impressed at every turn. Each member of the office team did their part to ensure my needs were met, and both Kristen (hygienist) and Dr. Hammond were generous with their time and expertise. Office is very clean. Has a relaxing spa-like feel to it. Our hygienist and Dr. Hammond are always so nice and appreciative of our business. My kids love coming to Dr. Hammond's, which is not very common with kids and the dentist. Highly recommend Dr. Hammond and his amazing staff!

Great dentistry. Been going here for a long time. Never have had a bad experience. Make sure they're in network for your dentist insurance, if they are don't hesitate to go.

Dr. Hammond and Dr. Ellis are definitely Utah's best dentists. There are so many good things to say about their office. The staff is amazingly attentive, the office is gorgeous and the customer service is better than Nordstrom. I live in Salt Lake and have been to several dental practices close to me, however I drive 45 mins to Provo to see Dr. Hammond because I know I can trust him. Not every dentist has your best interest at heart but Dr. Hammond does. I have had bad experiences in the past with cavities being filled incorrectly and have come to Dr. Hammond to guide me in the right direction. Dr. Hammond is also an amazing cosmetic dentist. Dr. Hammond truly has an artistic eye and will make sure your cosmetic dentistry looks amazing. If you are getting Veneers you shouldn't go anywhere else!

I have made the personal choice to have Dr Chris Hammond as my family's dentist for years. Taking top care of my oral health as well as aesthetic is a top priority in my personal life and I feel as though Chris Hammond takes satisfaction in having every patient feeling their very best. The cleanings are thorough, efficient and with hygienists that are highly trained. Every cleaning is finished with Chris Hammond reviewing and checking your care himself. Chris Hammond has performed many procedures for me over the years that I have never had a single complaint about. He has gone above and beyond to be sure I am happy with the outcome. I wish that every health professional could be as prompt as the Hammond office. They greet you kindly at the door and make your comfort a priority as well as never running behind on their appointments. Who would complain about leaving an appointment with a care package of dental care items, chapsticks, water bottles and snacks. There is no question that Dr Chris Hammond is the best dentist in Utah.

Dr. Hammond and staff have always treated me like a queen from the time I walk through the doors of the practice to walking me out the doors. They are super natural looking and do not stand out so that people ask "did you get veneers'. Instead I get comments like, 'you look so nice and young'!People can't put a finger on what is different! Dr Chris Hammond is an artist. The color, dimension, shape and fit are perfect! Again, I was treated so well... with follow up calls from Dr Hammond checking to see how I'm doing he also gave me his personal number so that I could call if I needed anything!
